ADHD Evaluations in Athens, GA

The Banyan Tree Center offers evaluations for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents, and adults. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by symptoms such as inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, which can impact academic, occupational, and social functioning.

The evaluation process begins with a thorough clinical interview to gather information about developmental history, current symptoms, and functioning across various settings. We utilize standardized rating scales, behavioral checklists, and collateral information from caregivers, teachers, or significant others to ensure a multidimensional assessment. When appropriate, additional psychological testing may be administered to rule out other conditions and clarify the diagnosis.

All assessments are conducted by a Licensed Psychologist with a doctoral degree. Our psychologists complete all of the testing and provide comprehensive reports that are clear, integrated, and practical so that recommendations can be realistically applied in multiple settings while being individualized to your needs.

Our team adheres to evidence-based guidelines and considers differential diagnoses, including anxiety, mood disorders, learning disabilities, and environmental factors. Following the evaluation, we provide a detailed report outlining findings, diagnostic impressions, and individualized recommendations for treatment, accommodations, and support.

We are committed to providing respectful, confidential, and accurate assessments to help individuals and families better understand ADHD and access appropriate care.
